The Ritual...

After arriving at the Choosing ritual with the druids and a prisoner in hand, the party was quickly questioned by the guards for their suspicious entry. During their explanation, the group of people that were going to pose as druids arrived, with weapons and everything. After the casualties of both guards and imposters, and one VERY unlucky horse, the group proceeded within the tent, where the four sacrifices are  rightfully chosen for the year. Sinowrien Sinilélnar, a member from the High District, voiced his anguish and frustration after his own son was chosen for the sacrifice. Shortly afterwards, the ritual concluded, and the group traveled back to the city of Neró, with only a week until the sacrifices…

Humble Beginnings...

When our story starts, it takes place in a fair-sized coastal town at the southern tip of the world. The journey starts at the day before the choosing, which is a bi-annual ritual which involves the sacrifice of four chosen individuals in order to calm the aggression of a nearby volcano.  The group, after hearing of some racial bias which might be taking place during the next choosing, sought out the group of druids who conduct the ritual each festival. They heard rumors of them being in danger, and wished to assist them so that they didn't end up being chosen this year. After saving the druids from an attack by hired mercenaries, they learned that the rich townspeople paid them to kill the druids, in order to falsely choose some one from a minority in the city for the ritual. Now, the group heads to the ritual itself, to stop them from possibly killing innocent people during this celebration of fire…
